The network was formed in 1992 and has evolved over time. Some of our achievements
have been:
  • Educational sessions in schools by people living with AIDS
  • AIDS Awareness Week displays in the region: library, schools, bars, Tag Days on World AIDS Day
  • Condom promotion with Trojan and Lifestyles condoms at male and female exotic dancer events in local bars
  • HIV/AIDS and Safer Sex display at Health Fairs
  • Mini Health Fair display on HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C at The Pas Correctional Institute Centre
  • Attended a HIV/AIDS workshop organized by Cree Nation Tribal Health and promoted Play It Safer Network
  • Organized a 2 day local Play It Safer Conference and Harm Reduction Workshop
  • Educational sessions in the community
  • Building Community Around Hepatitis C Project
